EnquiryIt’s available in the ever popular Spotted Gum and Blackbutt. Fiddleback wear layers combine the classic features of our Australian Eucalyptus bonded onto an ever reliable Plywood core.
This creates an authentic Australian timber visual with the associated stability and durability of an engineered timber construction.
​Surface finishes include smooth or brushed textures. Pre-finished matte, water based multi-coat PU lacquer. All sizes display Micro-bevel 4 sides to enhance the plank visual.
The Fiddleback plank sizes are recommended as a floating installation and Direct Fix only for parquetry.

Long Planks & Herringbone are Standard & better, will display natural characteristics such as knots, filled voids and gum vein. Slight checking in wear layer is acceptable. Rustic grade displays all that is unique about our wonderful Australian Hardwoods with knots and dark resin filled splits, pinhole and contrasting colour tones, along with spiral grain & fine saw marks for that enhanced rustic appearance.

• T&G for Herringbone & Rustic. Micro Bevelled edges, 4 sides.
Coating & Surface
• Smooth & light wire brushed, PU lacquer matte, approx. 10-15% gloss level in both brushed and smooth surface.
Grade
• Standard and better grade (ABC), will display natural characteristics such as knots, natural colour and grain variation, filled void and gum vein.
• Slight checking in wear layer under coating is acceptable.
• Rustic grade contains knots and dark resin filled spots, pinhole and contrasting colour tones, along with spiral grain and fine saw marks for that enhanced rustic appearance.

• Genuine Australian Eucalyptus wear layer permanently bonded to an engineered multi-layer mixed hardwood core.
